CAMRADATA Awards 2020 recognise excellence in asset management

CAMRADATA, a leading provider of data and analysis for institutional investors, hosted its CAMRADATA Awards for the sixth year running on 25th February 2020 at the Farmers and Fletchers in the City of London.

The CAMRADATA Awards are one of the most sought-after accolades in the asset management field, recognising the contribution these outstanding funds deliver on behalf of institutional investors.

45 awards were presented to the funds that topped various asset classes, including bonds, equities and multi-asset over the three-year period ending December 31, 2019.

The biggest winner who scooped four awards was Fidelity International, who won Emerging Markets Corporate Debt (USD); Emerging Markets Equity – Core (USD); European Inc. UK Equity and Global Gov/Corp Debt (USD) awards.

Other winners who scooped two and three awards were:

  • Royal London Asset Management – won the Global Multi-Asset (GBP); UK Corporate Debt (GBP) and UK Equity – All Cap (GBP) awards.

Matt Johnston from MRJ Investment Advisory said:

“I was delighted to be invited to present awards for outstanding fund management achievers over the last three years.  The attraction of the CAMRADTA awards format is they are an unbiased reflection of facts on return and risk.  This helps investors make informed choices.”

Sean Thompson, Managing Director, CAMRADATA said:

“These awards are fast becoming a highlight of the investment management social calendar and we were delighted to have a number of investor clients to help us present these awards.

“CAMRADATA has been gathering, analysing and publishing asset manager data since 2003 to enable institutional investors, including pension schemes, insurance firms, charities and investments consultants to make informed investment decisions.”

Unlike many other industry awards, CAMRADATA does not engage a judging panel to decide who wins. Instead, it applies Independent Quantitative ‘IQ’ scores and rankings to determine the most exceptional funds, using five quantitative risk and performance calculations, based on data from the last three years.

CAMRADATA’s main publishing brand, Funds Europe, has published a special CAMRADATA Awards supplement April, with an in-depth look at all the 2020 winners.
