Pillsbury Adds to Market-Leading Asset Finance Team with London Partner Antony Single

Antony Single has joined Pillsbury’s top-ranked Asset Finance team as a partner in London. He comes to Pillsbury from Clifford Chance, where he was a partner and helped establish the firm’s asset finance practice in the Middle East.

Single advises financiers and lessors on aviation, defence and other asset-based and receivables-backed finance and leasing transactions. He has a broad range of financing and leasing experience, where he has worked on transactions utilizing commercial debt, warehouse facilities, capital markets, funds platforms, tax enhanced and Shari’a compliant structured financings. He also has extensive experience of airline restructurings and workouts.

“We are delighted that Antony is joining our London Asset Finance team where he will play a key role in working with us to grow and develop our practice further,” said Graham Tyler, a London partner and co-leader of the Asset Finance practice. “Antony brings great sector skills, knowledge and experience, and he will augment our existing capabilities globally.”

“Much like our seasoned asset finance professionals around the globe, Antony really does it all in this highly-specialized sector,” said Mark Lessard, leader of the firm’s Finance practice. “The fact that he has thrived in both up and down markets was very attractive to the team. Likewise, he brings bona fide accomplishments in the Middle East, where we share many clients and interests.”

“I have known and worked with members of Pillsbury’s impressive Asset Finance team for many years and have always been impressed by their deep bench and performance at the very highest levels,” Single noted. “This is a world-beating team and one that I am thrilled to become a part of.”

Pillsbury’s Asset Finance team serves as a trusted adviser to the most established names in aviation as well as emerging players around the world, including manufacturers, airlines, lessors, financial institutions and investors. Clients and counterparties respect Pillsbury for the firm’s in-depth substantive knowledge, commercial awareness, user-friendly service and ability to power the efficient execution of transactions. Over the last five years alone, Pillsbury’s Asset Finance team has helped a diverse range of market participants get or keep more than 1,600 commercial and business aircraft flying, reflecting an aggregate asset value of more than $75 billion.
